This is the first guided meditation video from Hsiao-Chu "Sandra" Huang :)
From just posting and writing on Facebook and Instagram, to now wanting to try creating my own guided meditation — the biggest reason was simply wanting to challenge myself to try things I didn't dare to before. In my regular work as a therapist, I often guide clients through meditation practices to help them relax and connect with their body and mind. This guided meditation is one of my favorite exercises.
This first attempt may not be perfect, but I hope it can bring you the help you need.

[0:00:30] It doesn't matter. Now please gently close your eyes
[0:00:39] Prepare to let yourself relax. This is your time
[0:00:53] Let all your worries and anxieties truly be set aside
[0:01:05] Right here, right now, this is your time
[0:01:13] Now, please take a few deep breaths
[0:01:29] With each breath, with every inhale
[0:01:54] and exhale, your breathing becomes slower
[0:02:00] Your body also becomes lighter and more relaxed
[0:02:12] Now, I'd like to invite you to imagine
[0:02:29] a green light entering your body from the top of your head
[0:02:36] and beginning to scan your entire body
[0:02:50] Let this green light scan your forehead
[0:02:56] your eyes, your ears, your entire head
[0:03:19] your throat — notice if any area feels tight
[0:03:34] or uncomfortable. If so
[0:03:42] let that green light linger on that area a little longer
[0:03:51] Gently warm that area
[0:04:08] What is this tightness, this discomfort, trying to tell you?
[0:04:19] Your body is honest
[0:04:30] It will tell you what it truly needs
[0:04:49] Use this light to continue scanning your body
[0:05:17] Your neck and shoulders, your arms
[0:05:24] your chest, your abdomen
[0:05:48] your hands
[0:05:54] your hips
[0:06:12] your thighs, your calves
[0:06:42] your feet
[0:07:03] At whatever pace feels right for you, scan your entire body
[0:07:09] As this light heals every part of your body
[0:07:39] let it help you see what your body truly needs
[0:07:58] Let your whole body be filled with this green light
[0:08:24] Imagine this green light like a waterfall, continuously washing over your entire body
[0:08:38] carrying away any pain or discomfort
[0:08:54] Let this light purify your entire body, restoring balance
[0:09:13] Next, imagine this green light
[0:09:23] this waterfall of light slowly changing shape, becoming a palm-sized orb of light
[0:09:40] This orb moves from the top of your head down to your chest, and enters your heart
[0:09:53] Feel this green healing energy. This is something you've always had
[0:10:04] You have the ability, when feeling anxious, sad, off-balance, overwhelmed, or lost
[0:10:21] to bring yourself peace and healing
[0:10:27] When you're willing to spend time with your body and listen to your inner voice
[0:10:44] you can reclaim this healing power
[0:10:56] Now, gently move your head, your shoulders, your hands
[0:11:10] your feet
[0:11:18] Bring yourself back to this space, and slowly open your eyes
